Job description
Overview
This opportunity is for energy-sector professionals who can contribute to AI research on a flexible, hourly contract basis. It is not a standard full-time role. The work relies on real-world experience in environmental assessment, GIS analysis, and renewable energy siting to review AI-generated outputs and help improve the model’s understanding of geospatial workflows and environmental practices.
The engagement is project-led and can be handled alongside other commitments.
Role Details
- You will use your day-to-day professional knowledge to help create expert training data and judge AI responses for accuracy, usefulness, and relevance.
- No background in AI is necessary.
- The work is fully remote, arranged asynchronously, and does not come with a minimum hourly commitment. Contributors typically spend around 5 to 20 hours per week when an active project is available.
- Assignment depends on current project demand, and you may also be considered for future projects as they arise.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in environmental analysis, GIS, or renewable energy siting.
- Relevant experience may include work as an Environmental Analyst, GIS Analyst, Interconnection Specialist, Solar Design Engineer, or a comparable position in the energy industry.
- Practical experience with at least one of the following tools: ArcGIS, Oracle MDM, or Aurora Solar.
- Strong writing ability, careful attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently in an asynchronous setting with research teams.
Additional Information
This is an ongoing, project-based engagement rather than a conventional role. Work volume may vary depending on project availability.
