Job description
Position Overview
Chaffey College is building a pool of adjunct instructors for the Gerontology department. This opportunity is based in the Rancho/Fontana/Chino, CA area and falls under the Health and Wellness Academic & Career Community.
The college is looking for candidates who satisfy the California State Community College minimum qualifications for Gerontology instruction. Being qualified does not automatically lead to an interview or a job offer.
Compensation
The pay range for this role is $71.00 to $91.00 per hour. Pay for part-time faculty is determined by education level and prior teaching experience at the district, following the applicable lecture, lab, or non-instructional rate structure.
Minimum Qualifications
- A master’s degree in gerontology; or
- A master’s degree in an interdisciplinary field; or a master’s degree in one of the disciplines within that interdisciplinary area, plus upper-division or graduate coursework in at least one additional contributing discipline; or
- Equivalent qualifications; and
- Clear evidence of the ability to work effectively with students from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds in a community college setting.
Preferred Qualification
- Interest in teaching face-to-face classes.
