Role overview
Applied Technology and Management (ATM), part of Geosyntec, is hiring Geotechnical Inspectors for its project site management team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This opportunity is suited to professionals with at least 6 years of experience who can bring strong site supervision and quality management capabilities to waterfront and coastal infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities
- Track site work to confirm it follows the applicable contract documents, such as technical specifications, construction drawings, sampling plans, and CQA plans.
- Carry out regular checks on active construction locations.
- Produce daily, weekly, and progress field reports.
- Keep project records accurate and aligned with company procedures and policies.
- Coordinate with contractors, project managers, engineers, and clients, and contribute to a collaborative team environment through clear communication and participation in project progress meetings.
- Follow the site-specific health and safety plan as well as the company’s Environmental Health and Safety management requirements and procedures.
Skills and qualifications
- At least 6 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent mix of education, training, and experience that delivers the needed technical background.
- Technical knowledge of site investigation, construction quality assurance, and/or construction management for marine, geotechnical, and coastal work.
- Capability to oversee multiple construction activities at the same time.
- Comfort using Windows-based tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
- Strong written communication skills with careful attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift or move up to 20 kg without assistance and 21-45 kg with assistance and/or suitable engineering controls.
- Ability to speak and hear, stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Readiness to work outdoors and interest in building a career in engineering consulting.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with self-motivation and a strong work ethic.
- Valid United Arab Emirates driver’s license.
Education requirement
This role accepts several qualification routes: a high school diploma or GED with at least 6 years of relevant experience; a two-year college diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of experience; or a bachelor’s degree in civil or geotechnical engineering with 2 years of experience.
