Role overview
In this position, you will support the expansion of newly developed generator fleets while also helping maintain the performance and reliability of aging generator assets in Saudi Arabia. The work centers on high-standard stator winding, thorough inspections, and repair activities that strengthen service delivery and overall fleet health. You will be part of a team that emphasizes technical quality, safety, and contributing to sustainable energy solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out full generator stator rewinding work, including removing existing coils, producing replacements, and installing them.
- Apply brazing, taping, and blocking procedures to winding parts in line with engineering requirements.
- Take apart and reassemble large generator assemblies during repair and maintenance tasks.
- Run electrical tests on windings, such as insulation resistance checks and Hi-Pot testing.
- Examine generator parts for deterioration, damage, or faults, with special attention to stator cores and windings.
- Record maintenance, repair, and testing work accurately while following EHS standards.
Requirements
- A technical diploma or vocational qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a comparable field.
- 3 to 5 years of practical experience as a Generator Winder or in a similar heavy electromechanical repair role.
- Proven background in winding and repairing large power generators, including stators and rotors.
- Good working understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with preventive maintenance methods and quality assurance practices.
- Strong troubleshooting ability, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
