About the Role

This part-time, onsite position involves cleaning the interior and exterior of passenger railway cars. The role requires physical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various weather conditions. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards in passenger areas, washrooms, showers, and kitchens, as well as managing water reservoirs and wastewater tanks.

• Hourly wage: $34.36
• Shift premiums for evening ($1.50/hour) and night ($2.00/hour) work

Your Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of both the interior and exterior of passenger railway cars.
• Conduct vacuuming, carpet cleaning, and wiping down tables and seating areas.
• Clean and sanitize washrooms, showers, and kitchen facilities, as well as windows.
• Manage the draining and refilling of potable water reservoirs.
• Handle the draining of wastewater retention tanks.
• Undertake duties outdoors, adapting to diverse weather conditions.

What We're Looking For

• Possession of a High School Diploma.
• A valid driver's license is mandatory.
• Previous experience in housekeeping, commercial cleaning, or building maintenance is required.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Physical capacity to lift objects weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Mechanical aptitude is considered an asset.
• A strong commitment to quality, achieving results, and maintaining efficiency.

Schedule

This is a part-time seasonal position. The schedule is Sunday, Wednesday, Monday, and Thursday from 18:00 to 00:00, with Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays off.

Work Location

Winnipeg Maintenance Center.
