Role Overview

This full-time, on-site General Worker position is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The role supports routine operations by handling simple manual duties such as moving and unloading materials, arranging workspaces, and assisting with cleaning and basic upkeep. Duties may also include packaging, sorting, and relocating items, along with providing support to colleagues on day-to-day operational tasks. The position calls for dependability, punctuality, and a readiness to take on different assignments as needed.

Key Duties

• Assist with loading, unloading, carrying, and moving materials or items as required.
• Keep work areas organized, tidy, and ready for daily operations.
• Support cleaning activities and simple maintenance tasks.
• Help with packaging, sorting, and other routine handling work.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a careful, responsible approach while working.
• Alert supervisors to any problems, abnormalities, or concerns noticed during work.
• Work with team members to complete assigned operational tasks efficiently.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant should be physically capable of performing manual work, including lifting, carrying, and standing for long periods while observing safety rules. They should also have basic organizational ability, be punctual and dependable, and follow instructions accurately. Comfort working with others, communicating respectfully, and adapting to changing priorities is important. A willingness to learn and show initiative is also expected. Experience in general labor, warehouse activities, or facility support is helpful, though not mandatory. The ability to read and understand basic instructions is needed, and knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
