Role Summary
This position calls for a senior, practical leader to run the end-to-end operations of a sweets and snacks manufacturing setup. The role covers production oversight, quality control, stock management, dispatch, distribution, and business support, while also contributing to B2B sales growth.
The business is a pure vegetarian sweets, snacks, namkeen, chaat, and food brand based in Bangalore, with retail outlets and a central production facility that supplies stores daily, fulfils bulk and festive orders, handles corporate gifting, and serves B2B customers.
The ideal candidate should come from the sweets, namkeen, snacks, bakery, or broader food production space and be comfortable leading factory teams, maintaining consistent quality, keeping costs in check, and ensuring deliveries happen on time. Since the role is Bangalore-based, the company expects at least 3 years of work experience in Bangalore and familiarity with the local market, vendors, labour dynamics, logistics, and business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
The role involves managing the full production cycle, coordinating factory teams, supporting sales growth, and maintaining operational discipline across the business.
- Direct daily production across sweets, snacks, namkeen, bakery, and related food lines.
- Create and manage production plans for daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal demand.
- Ensure output matches outlet needs, bulk orders, B2B demand, and festive requirements.
- Track production volumes, wastage, batch consistency, manpower efficiency, and raw material consumption.
- Align production, packing, dispatch, procurement, sales, and outlet operations smoothly.
- Set up processes for high-volume seasonal production, especially during festivals and corporate gifting periods.
- Use Bangalore market knowledge to strengthen operations, supplier coordination, labour planning, and distribution effectiveness.
- Support B2B sales by identifying and pursuing opportunities with corporates, retailers, distributors, hotels, restaurants, caterers, event firms, supermarkets, and bulk buyers.
- Build and maintain client relationships to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Work with production and dispatch teams so B2B orders are fulfilled on schedule.
- Assist with pricing, product assortment, sampling, packaging, and delivery planning for business customers.
- Help expand revenue through corporate gifting, festive hampers, bulk orders, institutional supply, reseller routes, and online/B2B channels.
- Monitor leads, follow-ups, conversions, and customer feedback.
- Lead production staff, supervisors, chefs, helpers, packing teams, dispatch staff, and other factory personnel.
- Allocate manpower across shifts and departments efficiently.
- Train teams on SOPs, hygiene, quality standards, discipline, and operational efficiency.
- Build a culture of accountability, cleanliness, ownership, and performance.
- Solve day-to-day operational issues and keep factory activity running smoothly.
- Coordinate with outlet managers, sales teams, and business development teams to keep supply aligned with demand.
- Manage raw materials, packaging stock, semi-finished goods, and finished goods inventory.
- Ensure timely movement of products to outlets, B2B customers, corporate clients, online channels, and other sales points.
- Reduce stock-outs, excess production, dead stock, wastage, and dispatch delays.
- Support demand forecasting and production planning using sales trends, seasonal patterns, and order pipelines.
- Control production cost, raw material usage, labour spend, utilities, and other operating expenses.
- Improve yield, minimise waste, and refine manufacturing processes.
- Standardise recipes, batch sizes, production methods, quality standards, and dispatch procedures.
- Maintain records and reports for production, waste, manpower, stock, dispatch, and daily output.
- Find opportunities for efficiency improvements, automation, better equipment usage, and scaling the factory.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, food safety, labour, hygiene, and internal company standards.
- Keep production, quality, stock, dispatch, waste, and compliance documentation up to date.
- Make sure all departments follow approved SOPs and safety procedures.
- Prepare regular operational updates and reports for management.
Experience Expectations
- Factory Manager / Factory Head in sweets & snacks: preferred 10 years
- Sweets and snacks factory production management: preferred 10 years
- Food production team management: preferred 8 years
- Sweets and snacks distribution business: preferred 5 years
- B2B sales generation in sweets, snacks, food, FMCG, bakery, or related sectors: preferred 5 years
- Work experience in Bangalore market: minimum 3 years required
Preferred Qualifications
A degree or diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, Production Management, Hotel Management, Business Management, or a related area is preferred. An M.Sc. in Chemistry, Food Technology, or another relevant technical qualification will be an added advantage.
Ideal Background
Applicants with strong practical experience in sweets, namkeen, snacks, bakery, confectionery, central kitchen, FMCG food production, or food distribution will be preferred.
