Australian Turf Club operates across five distinctive venues — Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Canterbury Park, Warwick Farm and Rosehill Bowling Club — and oversees more than 110 racedays each year, along with hundreds of business and social events. Role overview
This opportunity is for a commercially minded partnerships leader who can accelerate revenue growth and strengthen the club’s standing in the racing industry. The role focuses on creating and delivering a high-impact partnerships strategy that broadens the partner base while increasing the value of existing relationships.
You will use your understanding of the racing sector, established industry relationships and commercial judgement to identify, win and expand high-value partnerships that support long-term revenue and competitive advantage.
What you'll do
- Oversee the partnerships function and make sure responsibilities are allocated appropriately across the team.
- Protect and grow the current sponsorship and client portfolio while supporting growth and profit goals.
- Improve revenue, profitability and the overall customer experience.
- Develop partnership strategies that deliver strong return on investment.
- Research target organisations to better understand market and industry trends.
- Design and implement initiatives that help the business achieve ambitious objectives.
- Strengthen financial discipline, including solid P&L understanding within partnership and sponsorship settings.
What we're looking for
- Proven senior leadership experience at an extensive level.
- Strong negotiation capability, with a track record of closing major B2B partnership agreements.
- Excellent written communication, verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Confidence influencing and engaging a broad range of stakeholders.
- Advanced capability in business planning and strategic delivery with a focus on long-term commercial outcomes.
- Ability to juggle competing priorities and perform well in a fast-moving environment.
- Skill in inspiring teams and consistently achieving high-performance results.
