About the Role
Keda Ceramics, a major ceramics manufacturer, is seeking a detail-focused General Ledger Specialist to strengthen its finance function. The role centers on maintaining accurate books, supporting timely reporting, and helping the team keep financial operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep general ledger accounts current, accurate, and fully reconciled.
- Record journal entries related to regular monthly finance activities.
- Contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing cycles.
- Complete bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Draft financial schedules and management reports for review.
- Look into accounting variances and correct discrepancies.
- Work in line with accounting standards, company policies, and internal control requirements.
- Support internal and external audit work by organizing and preparing backup documentation.
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and other teams to ensure reliable reporting.
- Take part in finance process improvement and reporting enhancement efforts.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline is required.
- CPA or a similar professional accounting qualification is considered an advantage.
- Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or finance operations.
- A solid grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting standards is necessary.
- Hands-on experience with ERP or accounting software, along with advanced Microsoft Excel capability, is expected.
- Strong analytical thinking, organization, and problem-solving ability are important.
- The role calls for careful attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines in a busy setting.
- Good communication and collaboration skills are needed.
Preferred Background
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments will be an added benefit.
- Knowledge of IFRS standards is preferred.
- Prior exposure to large transaction volumes and heavy reconciliation work is useful.
- Ability to spot and recommend process improvements is valued.
