General Hand

About the role

A service department in Perth is looking for a proactive and outcome-focused General Hand to support day-to-day branch operations. This position plays an important part in keeping the yard and workshop tidy, organised and running smoothly. The role involves storing stock properly, unloading incoming deliveries, moving stock as needed, completing stock counts, and handling other tasks assigned to support the branch.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Support Team Leaders and the Field Service Manager with locker supplies so field service staff have the parts and materials they need.
• Record all movements and parts-related paperwork on transfer sheets before, or immediately as, stock is moved out.
• Prepare, pack and send orders for both internal teams and external customers.
• Check and reconcile parts order picklists when they arrive from PDC.

Skills and experience

• Previous experience in a similar position.
• Self-motivation, initiative and a willingness to learn across different parts of the business in order to support branch needs.
• Strong time management skills.
• Clear communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of focus.
