Job description

Role overview

An experienced General Foreman is needed for a residential construction assignment in Midleton, County Cork. The role sits with a contractor handling several active residential developments and will focus on supporting a new-build project through to successful delivery.

What you will be doing

  • Coordinate day-to-day site operations so the project stays on track for programme and quality targets.
  • Lead, organise, and supervise site workers and subcontractors.
  • Make sure all activities comply with health and safety requirements.
  • Carry out routine checks to confirm the finished work meets the required standards and specifications.
  • Organise labour, materials, and equipment in a way that improves efficiency and controls cost.
  • Work closely with Site and Project Managers, as well as the client team.

What we are looking for

  • Previous site supervision experience backed by a trade background.
  • Hands-on experience managing residential builds from early stages through to completion.
  • Experience in external works, façade, or brickwork would be an advantage.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings accurately.
  • Good knowledge of current building regulations and certification requirements.
  • A strong sense of accountability and ownership for tasks and deliverables.
  • Comfortable leading multi-disciplinary teams of contractors and site operatives.

Salary

Salary is dependent on experience, with a range of €65,000 to €75,000.
