Role overview

Coforge is looking for a Functional Tester to take ownership of end-to-end testing for a migration and integration-focused program. The role calls for a methodical professional with strong hands-on testing expertise, the ability to coordinate across multiple teams, and a solid grasp of functional testing practices for data migration and system integrations.

This is a full-time onsite position based in East Melbourne / Hawthorn, Victoria, Australia.

What you will do

  • Shape and drive the overall test approach, including planning and execution for end-to-end testing.
  • Work closely with developers, data engineers, functional consultants, and business stakeholders to keep testing aligned across teams.
  • Validate migrated data thoroughly to confirm accuracy, completeness, and overall quality through reconciliation and verification checks.
  • Support data migration testing activities.
  • Carry out integration testing across upstream and downstream systems.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing, manage issue triage, and support sign-off activities.
  • Create and maintain QA reporting metrics such as requirement traceability, defect progress, and test case progress.
  • Partner with project managers and business analysts to make sure requirements are clear, complete, and testable.
  • Share updates on test execution, defect trends, and delivery risks with stakeholders.

Required experience and skills

  • At least 5 years of experience in software testing.
  • Practical experience with API testing, event-driven testing using Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or RabbitMQ, SQL, microservices, and notification channel testing.
  • Background in payment or retail domain work.
  • Strong exposure to data integration testing, including mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Confident coordination, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Working knowledge of test and defect tracking tools such as JIRA and X-Ray.
  • Experience in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
  • Hands-on experience leading UAT cycles and working with business users.
