Role Overview

A family in Moreland Hills, Ohio is looking for a seasoned nanny and household manager for a full-time position. The core of the job is caring for a newborn during the day, with added afternoon support for two older children. The mother will be at home and available some of the time, so this role is best for someone who is confident working independently while still functioning smoothly as part of a parenting team.

Schedule

The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. An alternate 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM schedule is also acceptable.

Children in the Home

  • One newborn
  • One toddler
  • One preschool-age child

Primary Care Duties

  • Provide attentive, age-appropriate care for the newborn.
  • Support early learning through tummy time, floor activities, music, language exposure, and movement.
  • Create, follow, and adjust routines and schedules suited to the child’s developmental stage.
  • Follow safe sleep standards and current infant care best practices at all times.
  • Plan and join suitable community outings such as music classes or story time.
  • Assist the older children in the afternoons as they return home.
  • Offer steady, respectful emotional support and guidance.
  • Use redirection and positive structure to encourage regulation and good behavior.
  • Promote outdoor play, activity, and age-appropriate independence.

Household Manager Duties

  • Take care of family laundry and the children’s clothing and belongings.
  • Complete grocery shopping and everyday household errands.
  • Keep the kitchen clean and organized each day.
  • Handle light organizing and general tidying around the home.
  • Prepare simple meals and light food prep as needed.

Ideal Background

This position calls for someone with substantial hands-on experience caring for newborns and multiple young children. The best fit will be comfortable in a parent-present household, highly organized, dependable, and able to stay ahead of family needs. The caregiver should be able to manage routines, transitions, and competing priorities with ease. A warm, engaging, emotionally aware approach is important, along with firm but kind boundaries. Strong communication, reliability, professionalism, and a willingness to stay active throughout the day are all important.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay is $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience. The family offers a consistent full-time schedule, a respectful and collaborative environment, and PTO, sick leave, and holiday pay.
