About the Role

Interactive Strategies is a Washington, DC-based full-service digital agency partnering with nonprofits, associations, and other mission-led organizations. Its projects cover web experiences, brand identity, social media advertising, digital campaigns, fundraising, and advocacy. Because the creative needs vary widely from assignment to assignment, the agency maintains a bench of freelance talent and is currently adding to that network.

What You'll Do

This role is centered on writing flexible, audience-aware copy for a range of client work. Assignments may involve shaping web content, developing brand voice, creating campaign messaging, or crafting appeals that encourage people to take action.

Areas of Experience

• UX and website copy, including practical content solutions for common site challenges
• Brand voice development across messaging frameworks, tone guidelines, and style systems
• Digital marketing and campaign writing for social platforms, email, and web experiences
• Fundraising and advocacy messaging designed to motivate readers to respond

Engagement Details

These freelance assignments are paid on a project basis as 1099 independent contractor work. Compensation is typically $70 to $95 per hour, depending on experience and the scope of the project. Applicants must be based in the United States.
