Job description
Role overview
Mindrift is seeking an experienced Brand Designer for a freelance engagement on the Tendem project. The work centers on strengthening a modern visual identity within a hybrid AI plus human workflow, where repetitive tasks are handled by agents and you contribute the strategic, design-led decisions that shape the brand’s foundation.
This is a remote, part-time opportunity for a creative professional with practical experience in creating brand assets, developing visual identity systems, and keeping a brand’s look and feel consistent across touchpoints. The role is focused on building a cohesive and scalable visual language using standard industry design tools.
What the role involves
You will act as the primary design specialist responsible for establishing and protecting the brand’s visual direction. The role calls for someone who can create identity assets from the ground up, refine them into structured systems, and ensure the final output remains coherent across digital and print formats.
Responsibilities
- Create core brand foundations such as logos, complete identity systems, and well-structured color palettes.
- Produce, organize, and hand over the necessary variants of key brand assets.
- Maintain strict visual consistency across all internal and external materials, including pitch decks and social media collateral.
- Design long-term, scalable visual systems that reflect current design standards.
- Check and protect design quality across channels so the brand translates effectively in both online and print environments.
How the project works
After applying and clearing the required qualification steps, you can begin contributing on a schedule that suits you. The work may include helping create training prompts and improving AI-generated outputs so the system can better understand and produce cohesive brand identities.
Requirements
- Ideally, you have at least 2 years of experience in brand design, graphic design, art direction, or visual communications.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communication Design, or a related creative discipline is preferred.
- You should be able to build brand identity systems from scratch, including logos, color palettes, and typography frameworks.
- Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, along with Figma, is required.
- You must be able to adapt brand identity consistently across multiple formats such as social media kits, pitch decks, and printed materials.
- Experience creating brand guidelines, style guides, and organized asset libraries is important.
- English ability at upper-intermediate level (B2) or higher is required.
- You need a detail-focused, strategic mindset with a long-term view of brand value.
- You should be highly committed to consistency and able to act as a guardian of the brand system.
- You must be self-driven, able to solve issues independently, and deliver polished work.
- A portfolio demonstrating branding work such as logos, identity systems, and guidelines must be included in the CV.
