Role Overview
As the Founding Product Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering customer-facing product work from start to finish. The role is centered on frontend development, while also requiring comfort with API development and database design. You will work closely with product design and the founders to turn complex audit workflows into polished, efficient user experiences.
Key Work Areas
- Take ownership of features end to end, covering the interface, APIs, data model, testing, and release.
- Partner with design to translate concepts into refined, high-quality user interfaces.
- Improve code standards through reviews, automated tests, and practical performance optimization.
- Contribute to the evolution of the product architecture, engineering tooling, and overall developer experience.
Experience and Technical Profile
The company is looking for someone with at least 6 years of engineering experience and a strong sense of product ownership. A strong frontend foundation is essential, along with the ability to work deeper in the stack when needed.
Frontend Requirements
- Hands-on expertise with modern React 18+, including hooks and concurrent features.
- Strong TypeScript capability, including advanced typing, generic patterns, and complex type work.
Backend Requirements
- Experience designing and shipping production APIs.
- Ability to model relational data and implement SQL-backed database structures.
Bonus Experience
- Advanced PostgreSQL knowledge, including multi-tenant design, indexing approaches, and migration handling.
