About the role

ScaledOps is creating a new way for people and AI agents to collaborate on complex projects. The company is tackling an ambitious opportunity with a strong team, and is looking for a Marketing Lead to become the first dedicated owner of brand, content, and community.

This position will work closely with the founders and help establish the marketing function from the ground up.

Location and compensation

Austin or San Francisco is preferred, though exceptional remote applicants are also being considered. Compensation is set at $100,000 to $180,000 per year, along with meaningful equity based on experience.

What you will do

  • Build and run the content plan across social channels, video, email, and the website.
  • Create and publish short-form video and related content, with comfort both on camera and behind it.
  • Oversee the growth of the company’s social media channels.
  • Develop persuasive copy for advertising, landing pages, email campaigns, and product launch messaging.
  • Speak with customers directly to sharpen positioning, messaging, and the product’s value proposition.
  • Design and run lean growth tests, then share what is and is not driving results.
  • Work hand in hand with the founders on go-to-market strategy, positioning, and messaging.

What the team is looking for

  • Strong working knowledge of AI tools and automated marketing workflows, using them to increase speed and output.
  • Prior experience at an early-stage startup, with firsthand understanding of building from nothing.
  • Ability to consistently produce and publish content without waiting for everything to feel perfect.
  • Excellent writing ability, along with a solid sense of design and brand presentation.
  • Background in social media and/or video-based content creation.
  • Highly self-motivated, able to create structure and process independently.
  • Comfort working with freelancers and external vendors.

Nice-to-have experience

  • Marketing experience for a SaaS product, a marketplace, or both.
  • Exposure to building communities for both buyers and sellers.
  • Basic design capability.

Additional information

The company is looking for someone who can help define the brand, build the content engine, and grow a community around the product from the beginning. The role is centered on close collaboration with the founding team and requires a hands-on, scrappy approach.
