TalentPluto is a YC-backed company creating AI-first infrastructure for the next generation of hiring and professional identity. The team helps fast-growing startups find outstanding talent by pairing recruiting expertise with proprietary software and AI-powered workflows.

Recruiting is the initial focus, but the broader ambition is to build a platform that helps people present themselves more effectively, surface better opportunities, and manage their careers in a world increasingly shaped by AI. The company is early stage, growing quickly, and based in New York City with a strong bias toward ownership and speed.

About the Role

The company is looking for a Growth & Operations generalist to support and scale the candidate side of the marketplace. This role sits at the intersection of growth, operations, product, and customer-facing work, and it will play a key part in improving how candidates discover TalentPluto, move through the experience, and engage with the platform.

This is not a standard recruiting position. It is designed for someone who enjoys building systems, working closely with the product and with candidates, and helping shape the operating model of an early-stage company. The ideal person is comfortable with uncertainty, motivated by responsibility, and energized by turning manual, high-context work into repeatable processes.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the growth and ongoing improvement of the candidate side of TalentPluto’s marketplace.
  • Take ownership of important candidate-facing workflows and maintain a strong experience as activity grows.
  • Look for ways to streamline internal operations, strengthen candidate engagement, and improve efficiency.
  • Partner with the team on growth tests, product insights, and workflow enhancements.
  • Help launch new efforts tied to candidate acquisition, marketplace quality, and user experience.
  • Build structure around unclear problems by creating playbooks, processes, and scalable systems.
  • Communicate clearly and thoughtfully with candidates, founders, and internal teammates.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in operations, growth, recruiting, customer-facing roles, startup generalist work, or another setting that requires strong ownership.
  • Genuine interest in early-stage startups, AI, marketplaces, recruiting technology, or the future of work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with good judgment when dealing with outside stakeholders.
  • A systems-focused approach with an ability to identify patterns, improve workflows, and bring order to complexity.
  • Comfort working with AI tools and curiosity about how technology can improve practical workflows.
  • A high sense of ownership and the ability to execute without needing a detailed process already in place.
  • Ease working in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment where priorities can shift quickly.
  • Must be based in New York City and willing to work onsite with a small team.

Compensation

Compensation is competitive and depends on experience, with meaningful equity included.
