Job description

About Anduril

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company focused on modernizing U.S. and allied military capability through advanced systems and software. Its products are powered by Lattice OS, an AI-based operating system that converts large volumes of data into a real-time, 3D command-and-control environment. The company aims to deliver autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking solutions to military users in a matter of months rather than years.

Role Overview

The Deployments team is responsible for planning and executing the fielding of Anduril’s hardware and software across the globe. This function works across Product, Engineering, Growth, Business Development, Technical Operations, and Mission Operations, and it covers forward logistics, installation, maintenance, repairs, inventory control, sustainment, and reverse logistics.

As a Forward Logistics Associate, you will support logistics activities on the ground throughout the Middle East and Africa. The role is forward-deployed to U.S. military installations, including operating bases and forward operating bases in designated hazard zones. You will own in-theater logistics coordination for Anduril equipment movement, spare parts tracking, and asset flow, while working closely with military personnel, government stakeholders, and internal field teams to ensure mission-critical hardware reaches the correct location on time.

This position suits a practical, mission-focused logistics professional who is comfortable operating in demanding environments, can work independently in unclear or high-pressure situations, and understands the importance of precise execution where mistakes are not an option.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the movement of hardware, spare parts, and people between main bases and forward operating locations across the Middle East and Africa.
  • Arrange intra-theater transport using military lift, rotary-wing movement, ground convoys, or contracted carriers as needed.
  • Liaise with military movement control teams such as Air Mobility Command, TMO/JMO, SDDC, A4/G4, and Battalion S-4 staff to secure transport, reserve manifest space, and deliver shipments on schedule.
  • Act as the primary on-site logistics contact for supported locations and keep asset movement flowing through hazardous areas.
  • Prepare, review, and submit military shipping documents such as DD Form 1149, DD Form 1387, DD Form 250, AWBs, hazmat declarations, and customs forms.
  • Work with military counterparts to build Transportation Movement Requests and coordinate Government Bill of Lading shipments.
  • Ensure shipments comply with DoD, host-nation, ITAR, EAR, and dangerous goods requirements under IATA, IMDG, and 49 CFR standards.
  • Maintain strict chain-of-custody records for sensitive, classified, and hazardous shipments.
  • Receive, inspect, and accept inbound equipment arriving from CONUS and OCONUS sources.
  • Manage outbound movement, including retrograde, RMA, and depot repair shipments.
  • Partner with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and the CONUS logistics team to resolve clearance issues, missing documents, and routing problems.
  • Inspect incoming goods, record discrepancies, and launch corrective actions for damaged or missing items.
  • Hold full accountability for forward-deployed inventory, including spares, consumables, and mission hardware across multiple sites.
  • Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and audits, and reconcile system records with actual stock across Oracle ERP, Odoo, JIRA, and Salesforce.
  • Control the storage, handling, and issue of spare items to technical teams and end users supporting sustainment and maintenance.
  • Spot shortages, estimate replenishment needs, and coordinate resupply with the SIP program team and global logistics.
  • Act as the logistics liaison for SOCOM customers, partner forces, and on-site representatives.
  • Provide surge assistance to the broader Middle East team and nearby program work, including partner-force engagements, demonstrations, and FMS deliveries, when capacity permits.
  • Work closely with Deployment Operations, Mission Operations, and Technical Operations to align logistics support with mission demands.
  • Share shipment updates, risks, and escalations with CONUS Deployment Operations leadership through approved communication channels.
  • Live and work at forward bases in designated hazard or imminent-danger pay zones across the Middle East and Africa for extended rotations.
  • Travel frequently between bases, often at short notice and by military lift, to support deployments, maintenance, and retrograde operations.
  • Follow force protection, OPSEC, and site security rules while working in theater.
  • Take on hands-on tasks as needed, including operating a forklift, palletizing cargo, assembling shipping crates, and completing paperwork.
  • Identify process gaps in theater logistics and recommend scalable improvements to CONUS Deployment Operations.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, playbooks, and lessons learned for forward logistics work supporting SOCOM and other DoD customers.
  • Provide internal feedback on customer needs, supportability issues, and potential product improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • A BA/BS is preferred, though comparable military or operational experience may be accepted instead of formal education.
  • At least 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or military operations, including forward-deployed or in-theater work.
  • Direct experience working with U.S. military logistics organizations such as Army G-4/S-4, USAF LRS, USMC Logistics, Navy Supply, SDDC, AMC, or TMO/JMO.
  • Practical experience preparing military transport paperwork, including DD 1149, DD 1387, TMRs, GBLs, AWBs, and hazmat declarations.
  • Very strong attention to detail and a commitment to full compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in ambiguous, fast-moving, high-stakes settings.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with military personnel, government representatives, and internal teams.
  • Comfort using productivity and ERP tools such as Oracle ERP, Odoo, Salesforce, JIRA, Slack, and Excel.
  • Willingness and ability to live and work in hazard or imminent-danger zones in the Middle East and Africa for long periods.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% within theater between bases.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance; TS/SCI eligibility is preferred.

Preferred Background

  • Prior U.S. military service in a logistics, supply, or transportation role such as 88N, 92A, 92Y, 0431, 2T2X1, or LS.
  • Deployment experience supporting SOCOM, JSOC, or partner force units in CENTCOM or AFRICOM areas of responsibility.
  • Exposure to Integrated Logistics Support or Contractor Logistics Support models for DoD programs.
  • Experience with military air movement processes, including pallet build-up, 463L pallets, and hazardous materials certification for air shipments.
  • Current dangerous goods certification under IATA, IMDG, or 49 CFR.
  • Experience supporting Counter-UAS, air defense, or ISR systems in forward environments.
  • Knowledge of host-nation customs procedures across GCC countries and East/North Africa.
  • Active U.S. Secret or TS/SCI clearance.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated U.S. salary range for this role is USD 86,000 to 114,000 per year. This estimate reflects base pay only and may vary based on experience, education or training, critical skills, and business needs. In many full-time offers, competitive equity grants are also included as part of total compensation. The company also provides a strong benefits package for full-time employees, generally at little or no cost, with support for health, recovery, and future needs.

Safety, Privacy, and Recruitment Integrity
