About the Role
This position is for a Food Services Supervisor based in Doha, Qatar, within the Food and Beverage & Culinary area. It is a full-time, non-management role that is performed onsite. The role supports a hospitality environment focused on service quality, guest wellbeing, and team coordination.
What You’ll Do
- Keep the food service team working together smoothly so guest service standards are consistently met.
- Check staff grooming, hygiene, and uniform presentation, and correct any issues noticed.
- Handle opening and closing routines, including arranging supplies and equipment, cleaning work areas and tools, and securing doors and other areas.
- Review storage spaces for cleanliness, organization, and proper FIFO rotation practices.
- Carry out scheduled inventory checks and ensure needed supplies are stocked and ordered.
- Monitor seating availability, service flow, safety, and guest comfort in dining areas.
- Create maintenance work requests for required repairs.
- Support management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance reviews, coaching, discipline, motivation, and employee development.
- Act as an example for the team and serve as the first point of contact for fair treatment and open-door concerns.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and report hazards, accidents, injuries, or maintenance concerns promptly.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Protect company property and keep proprietary information confidential.
- Support coworkers, treat everyone with dignity and respect, and contribute to shared team goals.
- Meet quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Perform reasonable additional duties requested by supervisors.
Physical and Communication Requirements
- Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, move, and place items under 50 lbs. (22.50 kg) without assistance.
- Stand, sit, or walk for long periods, including an entire shift.
- Read and verify information in different formats, including small print.
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to spot defects.
- Handle objects of different sizes and weights with good hand-eye coordination and fine motor control.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, bend, stoop, twist, and crouch as needed.
- Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
- Use stairs and/or service ramps.
- Greet and acknowledge guests in line with company standards.
- Speak clearly and professionally, including answering phones with proper etiquette.
- Listen to coworkers and respond appropriately to issues raised.
Preferred Background
The role calls for a secondary school diploma or an equivalent GED qualification, at least 2 years of relevant work experience, and at least 1 year of supervisory experience. No license or certification is required.
