Role overview

The Food Runner position at Apparel Group in Dubai is a full-time, on-site role in a busy food service setting. The job focuses on moving dishes from the kitchen to guests quickly and correctly, while supporting the front-of-house team and helping keep the dining area running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Carry meals from the kitchen to dining tables with accuracy and speed.
• Support servers by clearing used tables and resetting them for the next guests.
• Stay in close contact with kitchen staff so orders reach the floor on time.
• Keep the work area neat, orderly, and ready for service.
• Check that plates are properly finished and attractively presented before serving.
• Offer polite customer assistance and address basic guest questions when needed.

Requirements and qualifications

• Comfort working in a high-energy, fast-moving environment.
• Strong verbal communication and people skills.
• Ability to lift and transport heavier items such as trays and dishes.
• Willingness to work different shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, though it may not be mandatory.
• Prior exposure to the food service sector is considered an added advantage.
