Job description
Role overview
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation is seeking a Freedom of Information specialist to join its close-knit FOI team in an ongoing, permanent full-time position. This role supports the ABC’s handling of FOI requests for access to documents that may be held by the organisation.
The FOI Officer works closely with delegated decision-makers to support the ABC’s obligations under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth). The position involves helping manage incoming FOI applications, preparing material for the regulator, and making sure the organisation meets its statutory and reporting duties.
This is a non-legal position. It does not include the provision of legal advice and cannot be counted toward practical legal training for law students.
