Job description
Role Overview
Join a supportive early childhood team as a floating preschool aide serving preschools in the Windward area of Oʻahu, including Kailua and Kāneʻohe. This position is designed for someone who enjoys working with young children, values consistency with variety, and is comfortable supporting more than one classroom.
You will be assigned across three nearby preschool sites and may work in different classrooms from day to day. The role calls for a positive, dependable team member who can help keep daily routines running smoothly while creating a safe, caring, and engaging space for keiki.
Location: Kailua and Kāneʻohe, HI. The work is based on site and involves travel between the listed preschool locations.
Schedule
This role offers weekday daytime hours only. No evenings or weekends are required. Weekly hours are generally about 20 to 40, depending on program needs, and the schedule is flexible.
What You Will Do
- Move between three preschool locations in the Windward area as needed.
- Support teachers and classrooms with everyday routines, learning activities, and child supervision.
- Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
- Work with different teams and age groups while building positive relationships.
Training and Growth
No prior professional experience is necessary. Paid training and on-the-job support are provided. The employer also offers CDA (Child Development Associate) training at no cost, along with ongoing professional development and possible career pathways. This role is intended to be a strong starting point for a long-term career in early childhood education.
Pay and Benefits
The hourly rate is competitive at $18 to $20, depending on experience. Additional benefits include a $500 sign-on bonus, college tuition reimbursement, a 401(k) plan with a 6% company match, childcare discounts of 50% to 75%, and paid time off plus paid holidays, including your birthday. Benefits eligibility depends on average weekly hours worked.
