About the Role

Orbital Critical Systems, part of the CAF Group, is hiring Flight Test Engineers to work on-site in Airbus-related projects across Germany. The company focuses on safety-critical software for aerospace, defence, and transport, and is looking for engineers who want to build their careers in flight test environments.

Location

This role is based in Germany, with possible assignment sites including Manching, Taufkirchen, Hamburg, Bremen, Ulm, Donauwörth, Immenstaad, Finkenwerder, and other locations nationwide.

What You Will Do

  • Plan and carry out avionics ground and flight testing, including preparation of test procedures and programs.
  • Review onboard test data, evaluate outcomes, and document any deviations from expected results.
  • Contribute to improving tools used for test data analysis.
  • Work in coordination with design, development, and testing teams across Airbus Defence and Space.

What We Are Looking For

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a closely related discipline.
  • Hands-on exposure to FPGA development and associated design tools; candidates from different technical backgrounds are also encouraged.
  • English proficiency at B2 level or above; knowledge of German is an added advantage.
  • Strong interest in developing expertise in flight test instrumentation and safety-critical engineering environments.
