Role overview
This Riyadh-based Finance Business Partner role is centered on leading FP&A across the organization. The position owns strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, financial modelling, and decision support to help shape business direction and improve overall results.
The role works closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, Human Resources, and senior leaders to strengthen governance, sharpen planning accuracy, and support strategic execution. It also helps build a culture of accountability, strong financial discipline, collaboration, analytical thinking, and informed decisions.
Core responsibilities
- Create and evolve the FP&A approach so it stays aligned with company goals and longer-term business plans.
- Steer annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, multi-year planning, and scenario analysis.
- Guide leadership on financial outcomes, margin improvement opportunities, investment priorities, and business risks.
- Build planning frameworks that support growth and sound capital allocation.
- Own the preparation, consolidation, review, and control of budgets and forecast cycles.
- Coordinate budget inputs from all functions while keeping them aligned with strategic direction.
- Track forecast accuracy and recommend corrective actions when actual performance diverges from plan.
- Develop assumptions, sensitivities, and scenario models that support decisions.
- Monitor results against budgets, forecasts, and targets.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting with key financial and operating indicators.
- Review revenue, gross margin, operating costs, profitability, cash flow, working capital, and return on investment.
- Deliver variance analysis and practical recommendations to improve performance.
- Work with Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Human Resources, and Commercial teams to provide financial insight for strategic and operational choices.
- Assess new opportunities, pricing, capital investment, cost reduction ideas, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Support mergers and acquisitions, expansion, restructuring, and strategic investment reviews where relevant.
- Develop business cases and financial models for executive decisions.
- Build models for investment evaluation, profitability analysis, pricing, capital expenditure, and strategic initiatives.
- Study trends, business drivers, market conditions, and operating performance using advanced analytics.
- Improve reporting through BI tools, dashboards, automation, and predictive analytics.
- Continuously enhance FP&A reporting, planning processes, and analytical methods.
- Ensure planning processes follow internal policies, governance expectations, and applicable accounting standards.
- Support Finance leadership with audits, strategic reviews, and board reporting.
- Maintain strong controls over planning assumptions, reporting accuracy, and management information.
- Coordinate planning work with Treasury, Accounting, Tax, and Internal Audit.
- Lead digital FP&A initiatives including ERP optimization, planning systems, BI platforms, automation, and AI-enabled analytics.
- Promote data governance and improve the quality, accessibility, and consistency of financial data.
- Lead, coach, and develop the FP&A team while encouraging collaboration, accountability, learning, and high performance.
- Champion analytical thinking, financial discipline, continuous improvement, and strong business partnership.
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related subject is required.
- Strong command of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial analysis is essential.
- A master's degree in Finance, MBA, Economics, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Professional credentials such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, CFA, or an equivalent qualification are preferred.
- More than 10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, management accounting, or business finance is required.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience managing planning, forecasting, business partnering, and reporting activities is required.
- Proven ability to build financial models, management reports, business cases, investment analysis, and strategic planning processes is required.
- Experience presenting financial insights to executive leadership for commercial decision-making is required.
- Background in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, construction, infrastructure, energy, or large multinational organizations is preferred.
- Experience supporting multi-site or regional operations in complex environments is preferred.
- Hands-on exposure to ERP systems, business intelligence tools, financial planning software, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, Oracle EPM, Hyperion, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Experience with automation, AI-enabled analytics, predictive forecasting, or advanced modelling techniques is preferred.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic is preferred.
Additional information
This position is based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is a full-time, onsite role.
