Role overview
As a Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with stakeholders across the Australian business to provide reliable financial guidance, shape planning and forecasting, and turn data into insights that support growth, profitability, and better decision-making. You will be part of the commercial finance team and help influence outcomes through strong business partnering, commercial judgement, and proactive problem-solving.
Working style
This role offers a hybrid working model, combining remote flexibility with in-person collaboration. Flexible work policies and leave options are available to support wellbeing. Part-time working arrangements may also be considered.
What you'll do
- Work with business leaders across the Australian operations to provide financial insight, test assumptions, and support both strategic and day-to-day decisions.
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities, ensuring financial plans align with business priorities and strategy.
- Prepare month-end reporting packs with variance analysis, commentary, and practical recommendations for leaders.
- Build and maintain financial models, scenario analysis, and business cases for pricing, investments, new initiatives, and strategic projects.
- Track key drivers such as revenue, costs, and market trends to identify risks, opportunities, and performance improvements.
- Partner with teams across sales, product, operations, analytics, and data science to convert complex information into commercially useful insights.
- Communicate financial implications, trade-offs, and recommended actions in a clear way that helps stakeholders make decisions.
- Contribute to mergers and acquisitions work through analysis, due diligence, valuation support, and integration planning where needed.
- Look for ways to improve planning, reporting, and finance processes to strengthen efficiency and business outcomes.
What we're looking for
- A professional accounting qualification such as CPA or CA.
- At least 5 years of experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or business partnering roles.
- Strong capability in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Proven experience working with senior stakeholders and helping shape commercial decisions.
- Confidence using Oracle EPM, NetSuite, Salesforce, and advanced Excel, which would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset, with the confidence to challenge assumptions, identify opportunities, and improve processes.
- The ability to work accurately in a fast-moving environment while keeping strong judgement and attention to detail.
