Role Overview
ANT is looking for a Field Clinical Engineer to support doctors and cath lab teams throughout Europe during interventional cardiology procedures tied to its pivotal clinical trial. This is a hands-on, clinically oriented field position that combines procedural support, education, and close collaboration with internal clinical and R&D teams to help ensure successful device use.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct clinical support at hospitals to physicians and cath lab teams during PCI procedures.
- Educate physicians, nurses, and cath lab personnel on ANT devices, related accessories, and the procedural flow.
- Act as a trusted clinical and technical point of contact for doctors and hospital staff.
- Support physician training sessions and product demonstration activities.
- Coordinate with clinical and R&D teams, sharing physician input that can help shape product enhancements.
- Contribute to clinical programs, data gathering, and post-market activities in line with EU MDR standards.
- Travel regularly to sites across Europe to assist with procedures and training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, life sciences, cardiovascular technology, nursing, or another relevant clinical or technical discipline.
- Advanced medical or clinical qualifications such as MD, DO, or equivalent are preferred, especially in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular medicine, electrophysiology, structural heart, or related specialties.
- At least 5 years of experience in interventional cardiology, cath lab settings, or cardiovascular medical devices.
- Strong clinical capability supporting interventional cardiology procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of PCI and drug-eluting stents, plus practical experience supporting drug-coated balloon procedures, especially lesion preparation.
- Experience with catheter-based cardiovascular technologies and imaging systems such as IVUS and OCT is required.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to earn trust from physicians and hospital teams.
- Comfort working independently in a field-based role while coordinating with distributed internal teams.
- English fluency is required; additional European languages are a strong advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Europe, approximately 60% to 80% of the time.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the European Union.
Location and Travel
This role is flexible anywhere within the European Union. Candidates should be based close enough to a major international airport to support frequent travel to clinical sites across Europe.
