Role Overview
This position is focused on creating a memorable dining experience rather than simply serving meals. The role centers on attentive guest interaction, smooth coordination with the kitchen, polished table service, and maintaining a clean and organized service environment so that every transaction feels seamless and part of the overall hospitality experience.
Key Duties
- Prepare tables and service areas to support a smooth guest experience.
- Engage with guests in a professional, welcoming manner throughout the meal.
- Communicate guest requests and service needs clearly with the kitchen team.
- Serve food and beverages while keeping service standards consistent.
- Clear, clean, and organize work areas, tools, and supplies as needed.
- Carry out additional reasonable duties assigned by the hotel.
Work Standards and Physical Requirements
The role requires a strong focus on safety, compliance, quality, and professional presentation at all times. The associate must follow company policies and procedures, maintain a neat uniform and appearance, and communicate professionally. The work is active and may involve standing, walking, or sitting for long periods, moving across uneven or slippery surfaces, reading menu details, and handling tasks that involve lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, twisting, and stooping. Items handled may weigh up to 25 pounds without assistance and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED-equivalent education is preferred. Previous work experience in a related role of less than 1 year is expected. No supervisory background or certification is required.
