Role overview

Smack Pet Food is hiring a factory helper to support day-to-day production work at its Winnipeg, Manitoba facility. This is an on-site position, so all duties must be carried out at the physical workplace with no remote option.

Language requirement

Education and experience

No degree, certificate, or diploma is needed. The employer will provide training, so prior experience is not required.

Work environment

The position is based in a packaging company operating in a factory or plant setting. The work area may involve odours and refrigerated or cold conditions.

Key duties

The role focuses on supporting production and packaging activities, including checking and weighing items, sorting and packing materials and products, assisting machine operators and other staff, and cleaning machinery along with nearby work areas.

Public transit is available for commuting. This job may involve independent work, a fast-moving setting, repetitive tasks, heavy lifting, physically demanding activity, long periods of standing, a large workload, and pressure to meet deadlines. Candidates should have steel-toed safety boots.
