Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position in Sharjah is focused on stitching and assembling external shade fabrics in line with measurements, design plans, and technical specifications. The work includes cutting and sewing fabric, carrying out fittings and corrections, inspecting seam quality and finishing, and preparing completed shades for installation.
What You’ll Do
- Measure, cut, stitch, and assemble shade fabrics according to project requirements.
- Carry out fittings and make adjustments so the final product aligns correctly and matches the intended dimensions.
- Review seams, stitching, and finishing details to ensure consistent quality.
- Prepare completed shade pieces so they are ready for installation.
- Work closely with sales and installation teams to confirm specifications and delivery timelines.
- Communicate with customers when needed to better understand their requirements.
- Keep the work area orderly, safe, and compliant with company standards.
- Use sewing machines and tools responsibly and follow all safety and quality procedures.
Skills and Experience Needed
- Strong tailoring or dressmaking ability, especially with heavy-duty fabrics and patterns.
- Good fitting and alteration skills to achieve accurate measurements and correct fabric alignment.
- Clear communication and customer-handling skills for teamwork and client coordination.
- Comfort using sewing machines and related tools safely and efficiently; basic machine upkeep is useful.
- Strong eye for detail, dependability, and the ability to follow technical instructions closely.
- Prior exposure to shades, blinds, upholstery, or similar fabric-based work is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Sharjah and remain standing for long periods during production.
