Key duties

• Carry out small-to-medium repair and maintenance work for residential and commercial properties; jobs may last from about two hours up to two days.
• Speak with customers to explain the work needed, set clear expectations, and discuss scope and cost.
• Deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience that encourages repeat business.
• Work independently and manage tasks with limited supervision.
• Collect payment from customers when required.
• Use the required tools and be comfortable working with technology.
• Record job details according to the company’s process.
• Follow safety standards, including wearing proper PPE and protective booties inside customer homes.

Minimum requirements

• Must live within the local service area.
• At least 8 years of paid handyman experience is required.
• Applicant must have their own tools.
• Must be eligible to be insured to drive the company vehicle.
• Background and driving-record screening are mandatory.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
• Should be able to work at height and overhead for extended periods.
• Professional presentation and care for the company vehicle are expected.
• Strong ability in at least three trades or repair areas, such as carpentry, bathroom upgrades, kitchen upgrades, interior and exterior painting, drywall repair, general plumbing and electrical work where permitted by law, floor installation/refinishing, and familiarity with building codes.
