Job description
Role Overview
Keeta is looking for an Expansion Manager to support the growth of its dark store and front distribution center network in Doha, Qatar. This role focuses on identifying strong site options, shaping area expansion plans, and driving store launch readiness from selection through opening.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify suitable dark store locations by carrying out on-site visits, reviewing commercial districts, and researching local market opportunities in the assigned territory.
- Build territory-level expansion plans and launch strategies that reflect local market conditions as well as the company’s growth priorities.
- Handle commercial discussions, contract negotiations, and basic engineering-condition negotiations, while evaluating project risks and preparing location assessment reports.
- Work closely with internal teams across engineering and operations to keep the store-opening process moving smoothly.
- Manage project signing, property handover, and opening activities, and take ownership of resolving issues that arise during the pre-opening construction stage.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in site selection and business expansion, with a strong understanding of location strategy and launch standards for dark stores and front distribution centers (FDCs).
- Access to a solid network of high-quality property options in the target market, along with the ability to develop and sustain long-term relationships with landlords and property owners.
- Proven ability to negotiate commercial terms effectively, manage risk, and independently close rent, contract, and core technical or engineering terms in a timely manner.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to coordinate smoothly across engineering, operations, and other cross-functional teams to meet project timelines.
- High resilience, sound judgment, and strong problem-solving ability to manage unexpected challenges during site readiness, handover, and store opening.
