About the role
This position leads estimating governance across a wide-ranging capital portfolio, with the aim of improving precision, consistency, and confidence in investment decisions. You will work closely with project leaders and senior stakeholders to strengthen capability, raise standards, and deliver independent assurance on estimates for medium to large projects. The focus is on lowering cost exposure and supporting better delivery outcomes.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $140,877 to $163,308 plus superannuation.

Key responsibilities
- Direct estimating governance practices to lift accuracy and consistency across projects.
- Examine and provide assurance over project estimates throughout the portfolio.
- Create, improve, and maintain estimating standards, frameworks, and supporting tools.
- Offer analysis on cost patterns, risks, and overall performance.
- Spot opportunities for improvement and lead initiatives to build capability.
- Coach project teams in effective estimating practices and approaches.
Skills and experience
- Qualification in engineering, project management, or construction management.
- Proven background in estimating within infrastructure or engineering environments.
- Strong knowledge of estimating tools, techniques, and governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and encourage adoption of best practice.
- Sharp analytical thinking and strong attention to detail.
