Role overview
This role is for a detail-focused Equity Research Analyst / Research Analyst who can dig into company, industry, market, and economic data to generate insights that support investment, business, and strategic decisions. The work centers on turning complex information into clear analysis, highlighting key drivers, spotting risks and opportunities, and helping decision-makers act on reliable research.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out thorough research on businesses, sectors, markets, and wider economic movements.
- Review financial statements, operating results, business models, and key performance indicators.
- Study market shifts, competition, and sector-specific trends.
- Develop and maintain valuation work, forecasts, and financial models.
- Gather, structure, and analyze both numerical and non-numerical information from multiple sources.
- Draft research reports, investment notes, presentations, and concise analytical summaries.
- Track company announcements, earnings updates, regulatory changes, and market-related events.
- Identify emerging trends, risks, and possible opportunities through structured analysis.
- Communicate conclusions and recommendations clearly to internal teams and senior stakeholders.
- Assist with due diligence, strategic planning, and investment assessment activities.
- Keep research files, financial data, and supporting records organized and up to date.
- Maintain high standards for accuracy, consistency, and reliability in all outputs.
- Help refine research methods, analytical approaches, and reporting workflows.
- Take on additional research tasks and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline is required. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of financial analysis, valuation methods, capital markets, and investment principles, along with working knowledge of financial statements, accounting basics, and corporate finance.
