Role overview

This position is a store-based leadership support role with a strong focus on the entertainment and media categories. The coordinator helps shape a high-performance culture and positive customer experience across the store while supporting the Store Management team in achieving store-wide goals.

Key duties

  • Support the store in meeting sales and profitability goals.
  • Make sure Media & Entertainment activities follow all required compliance and legal standards, with particular attention to safety, store procedures, and incident reporting.
  • Work closely with colleagues to deliver a strong experience for customers shopping in-store and online.
  • Protect pricing accuracy across the Media & Entertainment department.
  • Train, coach, and assist sales team members on the department’s products and services.
  • Ensure sales activity complies with legislation, including duties under the CGA and any other relevant laws.
  • Help improve financial results through better inventory control, loss prevention, and management of controllable costs.
  • Support daily store operations when needed.
  • Keep building product knowledge and professional capability through online learning and other development options.
  • Stay up to date with industry changes and market trends.
  • Build productive working relationships with internal teams and outside stakeholders.
  • Spot opportunities to improve the role further and share recommendations with management.

Experience and qualifications

Applicants should bring at least two years of retail operations experience, along with proven experience coordinating or supervising the work of a team.
