Role Summary

This full-time Electrical Foreman position is based in Galway and involves leading electrical installation activities on site, with some flexibility to work from home. The successful candidate will coordinate electricians and apprentices, keep work moving safely and efficiently, and help ensure all project tasks are completed to the required standard, on schedule, and in line with specifications.

Key Duties

The foreman will plan and assign daily work, review drawings and electrical schematics, track progress, and work closely with project managers, clients, and other trades. The role also includes checking electrical installations for compliance with applicable regulations and standards, resolving site issues, coordinating materials and equipment, and keeping accurate records and reports. In addition, the position supports safe working practices, helps develop team members, and contributes to improving site processes.

Required Background

Applicants should bring strong hands-on knowledge of electricity and wiring, along with the ability to read and understand technical drawings. Prior experience in electrical contracting and in supervising site teams through the full project lifecycle is important. A background in electrical engineering or equivalent technical training is expected, as well as familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and safety rules. Strong fault-finding skills, proven foreman or supervisory experience on commercial or industrial projects, good planning and time-management abilities, and clear communication and leadership skills are also essential.
