Role overview

This position is for a subject-matter editor who will refine scholarly manuscripts for publication. The work blends strong English-language editing with deep knowledge of sociology and related fields, helping researchers prepare papers for leading journals.

What you will do

  • Polish research manuscripts so the language is clear, formal, and suitable for scientific publication.
  • Remove awkward phrasing, unclear wording, and sentences that do not read naturally in academic English.
  • Follow manuscript-specific instructions and format the document to match the target journal when needed.
  • Apply discipline-specific conventions consistently throughout the edited text.

What you need

  • A completed PhD in Sociology, Anthropology, or Organizational Behavior.
  • Strong command of English and a sharp eye for detail.
  • Previous editing experience is helpful, though not mandatory.
