Overview

Step into an early-career opportunity in field operations with exposure to real on-site work and technology-led solutions in the energy sector. In this role, you will develop practical expertise while contributing to safe, efficient, and high-quality operations across the field.

Role summary

This position offers several possible development tracks within field operations. As a Field Engineer, you will take part in day-to-day business activities, from gathering critical data to supporting long-term well development planning. You will organize, execute, and document field operations while assisting specialists and engineers in making important decisions.

As a Field Specialist, you will focus on the technical and operational work that keeps sites safe and ensures customers receive strong service. You will receive intensive training in troubleshooting, safety, and customer interaction, building a deep understanding of field activities. Over time, you will represent the company on site and take on supervisory responsibility while handling complex practical challenges.

As a Field Technical Analyst, you will provide technical support to on-site teams and use your expertise to help deliver excellent service. You will work with tools and techniques that connect theory to field conditions, including formation evaluation logs, cuttings analysis to identify rock type and hydrocarbon presence, and monitoring well parameters and sensors to understand well conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out field operations, use equipment, and take ownership of team performance at the wellsite by the end of the training period.
  • Coordinate operational work such as engineering design, maintenance, job planning, and reporting.
  • Build understanding of the well construction process and the contribution of different service companies.
  • Support engineers and specialists at site, including help with risk assessment and other core tasks.
  • Progress toward managing a crew and/or operational processes within one year.
  • Prepare wellsite documentation and participate in post-job reviews and debriefs.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

Requirements

  • Must meet the minimum degree and/or experience criteria for the role.
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
  • Fast learner with the ability to apply logic to solve problems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing improvement.
  • Shown ability to work well in teams and provide leadership when needed.
