Job description

Role overview

Belgravia Leisure is seeking qualified, approachable, and dependable Duty Managers for the Burpengary Regional Aquatic & Leisure Centre in Burpengary, Queensland. This opportunity is available on both casual and part-time arrangements, with shifts that include mornings, evenings, and weekends. The position offers a good work-life balance, free access to the facility, and clear pathways for career growth within a progressive organisation.

What this role involves

In this position, you will help keep all parts of the venue operating safely and smoothly, including customer service areas, pools, and the health club. A key part of the job is overseeing pool plant systems, so a sound understanding of plant room operations and water quality principles is important. When on shift, you will act with the authority of the Centre Manager during incidents or emergency situations.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate is a confident leader who stays composed in pressure-filled situations. You should bring energy, a positive attitude, and a friendly style, along with excellent communication skills and a strong focus on customer service. This role also requires the ability to engage respectfully and effectively with people of all ages, abilities, cultures, and needs.

Skills and experience

Lifeguard experience is required, and evening availability during the week is expected. Prior success in a similar role is not mandatory, although it will be considered an advantage.

Company overview

Belgravia Leisure is part of the Belgravia Health and Leisure Group and operates across health clubs, wellness and spa, golf, aquatic, and sporting venues throughout Australia and New Zealand. The organisation is expanding rapidly and is committed to growth, community involvement, and long-term results.

Additional information

The employer promotes diversity and welcomes applicants from a wide range of backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, people of any age or gender, LGBTIQA+ people, and people with disability. The organisation is also committed to maintaining a child-safe environment. Successful applicants will need to provide a national police check and a Working with Children check.
