Draftsperson - Geotechnical

About the Role

The Brisbane office is growing, and the team is looking for a Civil Engineering Drafter/Draftsperson with at least 4 years of experience and solid Autodesk Civil 3D capability to help produce technical documentation for CMW projects. The role sits in a collaborative environment and gives exposure to a wide mix of work across infrastructure, mining, energy, and land development.

The main objective is to assist the team in developing high-quality geological and geotechnical engineering plans, sections, and details, while applying engineering knowledge and drafting experience to deliver accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings, models, and specifications for geotechnical and civil engineering assignments.
• Update and manage drawings, diagrams, and schematics so they remain correct, consistent, and aligned with project needs and drafting standards.
• Work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and other project stakeholders.
• Support senior engineers with technical documentation and apply engineering knowledge in design and drafting activities.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional experience.
• A diploma or advanced diploma from a recognised tertiary institution in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a closely related field will be preferred.
• Prior experience in a civil or geotechnical engineering consultancy.
• Practical experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Proactive approach with clear, confident, and articulate communication.
• Good initiative and problem-solving ability.
• Comfortable working under pressure.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
