Role Overview

This position is for a draftsman specializing in steel detailing and 3D modeling for structural projects. The role involves developing accurate fabrication and construction drawings, creating models, and supporting engineering and site teams with drawing updates and quantity take-offs.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed steel structure drawings for industrial sheds, trusses, gantry girders, plate girders, temporary supports, and related fabrication details in line with established standards.
• Create 3D models using Advance Steel.
• Carry out quantity take-offs from detailed drawings.
• Coordinate with design engineers to understand technical requirements and reflect them correctly in drawings and models.
• Check that all drawings and models are accurate, complete, and aligned with project specifications.
• Keep current with modern drafting tools and methods, including BIM, to improve drawing quality and productivity.
• Update drawings based on comments from engineers or clients.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, site updates, and design changes.
• Support preparation of as-built drawings after project completion.
• Ensure all drafting outputs comply with the Quality Management System.
• Consistently deliver high-quality site drawings that support professional and reliable project execution.
• Develop and maintain CAD templates, libraries, and drafting standards for consistent output.
• Work in line with organizational values and contribute to team engagement around strategic goals.
• Share practical knowledge and drafting best practices with colleagues to improve team productivity.

Requirements

• ITI certification in Civil Draughtsman or Mechanical Draughtsman.
• Hands-on experience with Advance Steel is preferred.
• Ability to produce steel detailing drawings with a high level of accuracy and completeness.
• Comfort working with CAD-based drafting workflows and 3D modeling tools.
• Capacity to collaborate closely with engineering teams and incorporate technical feedback.

Compensation

The role offers a salary in the range of INR 4,00,000 to INR 7,00,000 per year.
