Role Overview

EELAF is looking for a driven and commercially sharp Distribution Sales Engineer – ELV to expand its ELV distribution presence across the UAE. This role focuses on building business with system integrators, resellers, installers, and contractors while managing key accounts and moving opportunities from first enquiry through to quotation, negotiation, order closure, delivery, and payment collection.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical understanding with proven B2B distribution sales experience, along with an established network in the UAE market. Solid knowledge of structured cabling, data center infrastructure, and video surveillance solutions is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and convert new business opportunities across the UAE ELV distribution market.
  • Develop durable relationships with system integrators, resellers, installers, contractors, and other business partners.
  • Market and sell structured cabling, data center infrastructure, video surveillance, and associated ELV offerings.
  • Manage assigned accounts and create action plans to grow revenue, product reach, and repeat purchases.
  • Track opportunities from enquiry to quotation, negotiation, closing, delivery, and collection.
  • Assess customer technical needs and suggest appropriate products and solutions.
  • Prepare technical and commercial quotations together with presales and product teams.
  • Examine BOQs, technical specifications, pricing, product availability, project needs, and delivery timelines.
  • Assist partners with product selection, technical details, demonstrations, submittals, and solution proposals.
  • Work with vendors and internal stakeholders on project registration, special pricing, product approvals, and technical support.
  • Keep CRM records current with opportunity pipelines, forecasts, customer interactions, and account information.
  • Track competitor moves, market pricing, customer demand, and emerging opportunities.
  • Meet assigned targets for sales, revenue, gross profit, and collections.
  • Follow up on credit limits, overdue amounts, and payment commitments.
  • Coordinate with sales operations, finance, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure orders are processed smoothly.
  • Represent EELAF professionally in customer meetings, partner visits, and industry events.

Technical Knowledge Required

  • Knowledge of copper and fiber structured cabling systems.
  • Familiarity with patch panels, data outlets, faceplates, fiber enclosures, cable management, and related accessories.
  • Understanding of data center racks, cabinets, containment, PDUs, fiber connectivity, and passive infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of video surveillance systems such as IP cameras, NVRs, storage, VMS platforms, and network requirements.
  • Ability to recommend products based on BOQs, specifications, system architecture, and customer needs.
  • Awareness of structured cabling, networking, data center, and surveillance standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communications, or Computer Engineering.
  • At least 3 to 7 years of experience in ELV, IT infrastructure, physical security, or low-current distribution sales.
  • Prior sales experience in the UAE market is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated success selling through system integrators, resellers, installers, and contractors.
  • Strong technical expertise in structured cabling, data center infrastructure, and video surveillance.
  • Good grasp of copper cabling, fiber optics, racks, cabinets, passive data center infrastructure, CCTV, and IP surveillance systems.
  • Sound understanding of B2B distribution processes, including quotations, pricing, credit terms, deliveries, and collections.
  • Ability to interpret and review technical requirements, BOQs, specifications, drawings, and project documentation.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales and gross-profit targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and account-management skills.
  • Self-driven, target-focused, and capable of working independently.
  • Comfortable using MS Office.
  • ERP and CRM system experience is preferred.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills.
  • Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
  • A valid UAE driving licence and access to a car are strongly preferred.
  • An existing network of ELV system integrators and resellers in the UAE is a strong plus.

Eligibility

Applicants with relevant engineering qualifications and a background in ELV or related distribution sales, especially those with UAE market experience and existing industry relationships, are well suited for this role.
