Core Duties

  • Plan and assign freight loads for drivers on a daily basis.
  • Track vehicle and driver movement and respond to changes in route conditions.
  • Communicate regularly with drivers and customers to provide status updates and handle concerns.
  • Revise schedules and delivery plans when traffic, weather, or customer needs change.

  • Ensure work practices follow company rules and transportation regulations.

  • Comfort using dispatch platforms, GPS or mapping tools, spreadsheets, and email systems.
  • Ability to juggle several tasks at once, set priorities under pressure, and make quick, practical decisions.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability for handling delays, schedule changes, and unexpected customer requests.
  • Familiarity with transportation compliance, hours-of-service rules, and safety practices is preferred.
  • Careful attention to detail for accurate documentation, records, and data entry.
  • A dependable home internet connection and a suitable remote work environment are required.
  • Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent; logistics or transportation certifications/education are advantageous.
  • Experience in trucking, freight brokerage, or carrier operations is a strong plus, though not mandatory.
