Job description
About Bay FC
Bay FC is the inaugural National Women’s Soccer League club in the Bay Area. Founded with the support of global investment firm Sixth Street and four U.S. Women’s National Team icons — Brandi Chastain, Aly Wagner, Danielle Slaton, and Leslie Osborne — the organization is helping shape the next era of women’s soccer.
Set to begin competition in the 2024 season, Bay FC is assembling a team that brings intensity, creativity, energy, passion, and a winning mindset to the pitch.
More than a soccer club, Bay FC aims to reflect the Bay Area’s diversity and act as a unifying force for fans across cultures, languages, backgrounds, and identities. The club is committed to building a welcoming environment, strengthening community pride, and improving lives through the game.
Role Overview
Bay FC is seeking a sales leader to help build a high-growth ticketing operation. In the Director, Ticket Sales role, you will oversee the complete ticket revenue portfolio, including premium and suite inventory, group offerings, single-match tickets, and season ticket packages. You will define the strategy, guide a team of sales professionals, and personally cultivate the relationships that convert first-time purchasers into long-term supporters.
This is a growth-oriented position, not a maintenance function, and it calls for someone eager to build, scale, and lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement the overall ticket sales plan across all revenue streams, including season ticket memberships, suites, premium inventory, group sales, and single-game packages.
- Manage, mentor, and elevate a team of Ticketing Sales Executives while maintaining strong expectations around activity, accountability, and service quality.
- Expand the season ticket base through outbound outreach, retention efforts, and member recognition initiatives.
- Win premium and suite deals with business clients by preparing customized proposals and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Work closely with marketing, partnerships, and game presentation teams to support campaigns and deliver standout matchday experiences.
- Track and communicate pipeline status, renewal performance, and sales results to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of ticket sales experience in professional or collegiate sports, with evidence of consistently meeting or surpassing quota.
- 2 to 3 years of experience managing a sales team.
- Practical experience using CRM and ticketing systems such as Salesforce, Archtics, TIXR, or similar tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- A service-first, fan-focused approach.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and game days.
Compensation
The starting salary for this position begins at $110,000 per year. Final compensation may differ depending on experience, skill set, and role scope.
Equal Opportunity
Bay FC is committed to providing equal employment opportunity to all candidates and employees, regardless of protected characteristics under federal, state, or local law.
