This opportunity is shared on behalf of a partner organization that handles all applications and subsequent hiring steps. The employer is seeking a Director of Strategy & Business Development to be based in the United States.
The role is a senior, high-impact leadership position centered on accelerating growth and supporting inorganic expansion for a global technology and industrial portfolio operating at scale. You will sit at the crossroads of corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and business development, working closely with senior leaders across several operating businesses. The position blends market analysis, transaction execution, and long-range planning to uncover and convert new growth opportunities. You will own strategic and M&A initiatives from initial market evaluation through acquisition execution and integration support. In a fast-moving, globally connected setting, your insights will help shape investment decisions and the long-term direction of the portfolio. This is a visible role with direct access to executive leadership and enterprise transformation work.
Key accountabilities
- Design and implement strategic growth and inorganic expansion plans, including market entry and acquisition initiatives across priority areas.
- Drive the full M&A lifecycle, from target screening and due diligence through valuation support and deal completion.
- Carry out in-depth market and competitor analysis to uncover adjacent and non-adjacent opportunities for growth.
- Create and maintain an organized acquisition pipeline to support prioritization and executive decisions.
- Work in close partnership with corporate development, operating companies, and executive teams to align strategy with delivery.
- Support portfolio-level planning conversations and contribute to major strategic decisions.
- Turn complex commercial and financial findings into clear, executive-ready recommendations.
