Role overview
PacifiCorp is hiring a customer-focused leader to strengthen operational excellence and strategic performance across a region or cross-functional portfolio. This position is responsible for shaping and executing business strategy, improving resource allocation, and supporting successful operations and maintenance planning through data-backed cost and resource analysis. As part of the Delivery Assurance model, the role helps ensure plans remain achievable while providing clear visibility into cost performance. It also includes leading and developing teams, building culture, coaching talent, and advancing company programs that support long-term success.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee monthly and quarterly external and management reporting for PacifiCorp.
- Lead analysis and reporting of financial and operational performance gaps versus targets, including trend review and interpretation of KPI movements for executive leadership.
- Provide performance reporting, technical accounting support, and complex analytical services to company executives.
- Create monthly performance reports that clearly measure actual results against goals.
- Build and maintain productive relationships across the organization.
- Connect business strategy with financial planning.
- Work with business units and corporate teams to support performance management and recommend strong practices and process approaches.
- Lead the consolidation of financial data for monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
- Develop and oversee operating plans and objectives for the Finance function.
- Help drive cultural and mindset change toward stronger performance management.
- Manage internal controls for designated monthly cycles.
- Coordinate unit cost delivery outcomes with Asset Management within the 10-year planning process.
- Supervise, coach, and assess team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or a related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in senior performance reporting or performance management.
- At least 5 years of direct people-management experience.
- Strong leadership and collaboration abilities, with the confidence to negotiate and influence peers and managers on strategic and policy matters.
- Solid management capability, including setting goals, building and executing policy, directing and monitoring resources, and guiding the development or rollout of systems, programs, or processes.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP.
- Ability to produce high-quality results quickly, handle multiple priorities, and consistently work to tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead and motivate employees.
- Understanding of the company’s strategy, regulatory and political environment, internal policies and procedures, and relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, CPA certification, utility industry experience, and familiarity with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Uniform System of Accounts.

Benefits and compensation
The hiring range for this role is $155,300 to $213,510 per year. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 20%.
