Job description
Role Overview
The Digital Office Manager will play a central part in shaping the company’s digital transformation journey. Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, this role partners with stakeholders across the business to understand operational pain points, spot opportunities for innovation, and turn digital ideas into workable solutions.
This position is responsible for guiding digital initiatives from early concept through design, prototyping, rollout, and performance review. The role also requires staying ahead of new technologies and process improvements, then aligning them with the organization’s priorities to improve efficiency and deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate the digital strategy into practical initiatives and recommend solutions that support implementation.
- Shape and lead the company’s digital vision and roadmap across functions.
- Spot digital opportunities across the value chain by reviewing strategic and operational challenges or risks.
- Coordinate an integrated digital budget and spending plan in line with business goals.
- Find opportunities for collaboration across teams to create connected and consistent digital solutions.
- Assess the value delivered by digital investments and check that they produce clear business outcomes and return on investment.
- Build digital capability through a Center of Excellence approach that can adapt to changing business and technology needs.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of digital use cases, from design and prototyping to deployment and adoption.
- Develop long-term partnerships with local and global innovation communities to encourage digital progress.
- Serve as a primary advisor to senior leadership on digital topics and the future direction of the business.
- Represent the organization at digital, innovation, and industry events, seminars, and associations.
- Manage the pipeline of innovative ideas gathered from across the company.
- Work with business teams to understand operational issues and emerging threats.
- Lead cross-functional teams in building digital products and track progress to ensure business and IT alignment.
- Monitor the digital strategy and roadmap, flagging risks, issues, and obstacles and driving mitigation actions.
- Lead ideation activities for new digital opportunities while following quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures and controls.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and bring strong experience in digital implementation, innovation, or a closely related area. The role calls for at least 10 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a managerial position, preferably in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sector. Project management certification such as PMP is considered an added advantage.

This opportunity is based in Doha, Qatar, and is a full-time, on-site role.
