Job description

About Woolworths Group

Woolworths Group brings together a large and diverse workforce united by a shared goal: creating better experiences today to build a stronger tomorrow. The business serves more than 24 million customers each week and continues to invest in new ideas, bold decisions, and improved ways to meet everyday food and shopping needs.

The company offers a dynamic, inclusive, and supportive environment where flexibility, genuine care, and growth opportunities are central to the employee experience. The role sits within a team that values different perspectives and aims to make a meaningful contribution across the group.

Role Overview

This position is focused on carrying out and completing digital merchandising work across a variety of eCommerce platforms and systems. The aim is to make sure tasks are delivered on time, accurately, and in line with the approved integrated plan and changing business priorities.

The role also contributes to planning discussions by helping assess task difficulty, estimating the effort involved, and suggesting alternative ways to implement work where useful. In addition, the role supports the improvement of merchandising experiences so that digital merchandising goals can be met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a range of digital merchandising activities across multiple eCommerce platforms as assigned.
  • Complete deployments and related work within agreed deadlines while maintaining strong accuracy and process compliance.
  • Build capability across several systems and tools, including SFMC, Algolia, Commerce Tools, Contentful, and internal platforms for product, pricing, and promotions management.
  • Help execute the integrated work plan and ensure merchandising actions align with campaign schedules and business objectives.
  • Support the ongoing maintenance and improvement of online trading activities through careful and efficient task delivery.
  • Assist in identifying platform issues, gather relevant information, and apply fixes or adjustments as directed.
  • Improve digital merchandising outcomes across internal search, content, and email channels to support merchandising objectives.
  • Provide input during work planning by estimating complexity and effort and by recommending practical implementation options.

What You Bring

You should be comfortable working across multiple digital merchandising tools and systems, and able to contribute to operational delivery and issue resolution in an online trading environment. The role calls for someone who can work accurately, handle competing priorities, and support the smooth running of merchandising activities.

Experience in coordinating or guiding the work of others is important, even if you have not had direct line-management responsibility.

Experience and Background

  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in digital merchandising operations, internal search optimisation, eCommerce content management, or a similar field.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing content, promotions, and product merchandising on eCommerce platforms.
  • Experience coordinating or guiding colleagues or contributors in a work setting.
  • Strong record of delivering digital tasks accurately and within required timelines.
  • Familiarity with relevant eCommerce tools and technologies.

What You’ll Experience

  • A flexible hybrid working setup that combines office or hub time with work-from-home arrangements.
  • A high-impact position that supports teams serving local communities.
  • Exposure to a global organisation with broad career possibilities across many disciplines.
  • Access to wellbeing support, including 24/7 use of the Sonder app.
  • A progressive and competitive leave policy.
  • Team discounts across Woolworths Group brands and a rewards program that recognises purpose-driven work.

Inclusion and Accessibility

Woolworths Group is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. The company encourages applicants from all backgrounds and welcomes requests for adjustments during the hiring process to help candidates participate fully.
