Job description
Role overview
Lidl Ireland is seeking a highly organised and precise Digital Media Coordinator to join its Media team in Dublin. The role acts as a key link between internal stakeholders and the external media agency, supporting digital campaign delivery from setup through reporting. You will handle day-to-day trafficking, monitoring, pacing, optimisation, tracking and reporting, while maintaining a strong focus on deadlines, accuracy and smooth administration.
This position sits within a large, fast-moving business spanning stores, warehouses and offices across Ireland and Northern Ireland. The ideal person will be ambitious, comfortable working across multiple teams and platforms, and motivated to grow within the media function.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the main contact point between the internal team and the media agency for digital campaign activity, including uploads, tracking, monitoring and reporting.
- Take part in weekly coordination meetings with the Digital Production and Social Media teams to finalise the paid digital calendar.
- Build subject-matter knowledge in ad platforms with support from senior colleagues and progressively take on broader ownership.
- Track media budgets, spend and performance pacing across multiple social channels.
- Carry out quality checks on media agency campaign configurations to confirm best-practice setup for paid social activity.
- Watch market and competitor activity and share relevant findings with internal stakeholders.
- Manage smaller campaigns end to end with media partners, covering native, display, social, video or event activity to meet briefing requirements and deadlines.
- Partner with Food and Non-Food buying teams to identify standout items for in-store promotion through media activity.
- Work across several teams, campaign types and platforms at once, offering recommendations and resolving technical issues where needed.
- Produce reports, build dashboard reporting as required, and interpret results to shape next-step recommendations.
- Support managers with native content, paid social planning, paid display planning, content, and reporting.
- Handle part of the team’s billing, invoicing and purchase order processing.
Requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, high-pressure environment and contribute from day one.
- Strong ambition, a willingness to learn, and interest in building a career in media.
- Excellent organisational ability, including prioritising work, managing projects and coordinating with others.
- High attention to detail, especially when dealing with budgets, billing and campaign edits.
- Proactive mindset with the confidence to identify issues and propose solutions.
- Analytical, strategic and comfortable using data to evaluate performance and recommend improvements.
- Self-driven approach with good time management and the ability to structure the day independently.
- Willingness to log time and keep the team updated on project progress through a project management portal.
- Broad knowledge of digital marketing and media, along with genuine enthusiasm for the area.
- Competence with Google Slides, Google Sheets and Gmail is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager and Google Ads is essential.
- Some exposure to traditional media is an advantage, though not mandatory.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar digital role.
Perks and benefits
- Transparent and competitive pay structure designed to support equal pay across the organisation.
- Starting salary of €37,500, increasing to €51,000 after 3 years.
- 20 days of annual leave, rising to 25 days after 2 years.
- Private medical insurance for employees.
- Company pension scheme.
- Flexible start and finish times.
- Initial training plus ongoing development from an experienced colleague.
- Strong opportunities for progression and advancement.
- High performers may be invited to join the Leadership Academy as part of continued development.
- Dynamic workplace environment.
- Modern office with free parking.
