Job description
About the Company
Wish You Were Here Group is a globally recognized hospitality business known for acclaimed restaurants, cafés, and lifestyle destinations. Its brands are built around standout hospitality, thoughtful design, food, and culture. As the company expands within the United States and abroad, it is looking for a driven digital leader to help shape its next phase of growth.
Role Overview
The company is hiring an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to lead digital strategy across its full brand portfolio. Reporting to senior leadership, this position will oversee the complete digital ecosystem, including paid media, CRM, websites, SEO, analytics, reservations, online ordering, and guest acquisition.
You will collaborate with the Senior Marketing Manager, Social Media Manager, creative partners, agency teams, and restaurant leadership to create digital plans that deliver measurable revenue growth while preserving each brand’s premium positioning. This is a strategic, commercially focused leadership role for someone who enjoys blending creativity, technology, and data to build best-in-class hospitality brands.
Key Responsibilities
Digital strategy and growth
Lead the group-wide digital marketing direction across all brands, focusing on guest acquisition, retention, and lifetime value. Build annual digital plans that support business goals, spot new digital opportunities, and develop scalable systems that can support future openings and expansion.
Paid media
Oversee all paid advertising activity across Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, display, and remarketing. Handle budget planning, campaign strategy, audience development, creative testing, conversion improvement, attribution, and performance reporting while tracking core KPIs such as ROAS, CAC, CPM, CPC, conversion rate, and revenue generated.
Website and SEO
Own the digital experience across all company websites. Improve website strategy, user experience, conversion rates, local SEO, technical SEO, landing pages, online booking flow, site speed, and overall performance. Work closely with designers and developers to continuously improve the customer journey.
CRM and email marketing
Manage customer lifecycle marketing, including guest acquisition, welcome flows, loyalty campaigns, birthday messaging, VIP communication, win-back campaigns, automated journeys, database segmentation, and personalised communications. Use lifecycle marketing to strengthen retention and repeat visits.
OpenTable and Uber Eats performance
Drive digital growth for key third-party platforms. For OpenTable, improve reservations, profile quality, featured experiences, promotional activity, guest acquisition, and reporting. For Uber Eats, optimise marketplace presence, sponsored placements, promotions, photography, menu performance, delivery growth, and acquisition efforts. Work directly with partner account teams to increase visibility and revenue.
Analytics and business intelligence
Create reporting that supports leadership decision-making. Track digital revenue, traffic, acquisition, campaign results, booking conversion, online ordering, email performance, paid media performance, and customer retention. Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly executive dashboards with clear recommendations.
Marketing technology and AI
Assess and implement tools that improve performance and reduce manual work, including AI solutions, automation platforms, CRM upgrades, attribution tools, reporting systems, audience insights, and workflow automation.
Leadership and collaboration
Work closely with marketing, creative, photography, videography, design, development, and operations teams, as well as restaurant general managers and ownership. Help define digital marketing best practices across the organisation and support the growth of future digital team members.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of digital marketing experience with increasing leadership responsibility. Experience in multi-location hospitality, restaurant, or lifestyle brands is preferred. Strong hands-on knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, GA4, and reporting tools such as Looker Studio or similar platforms is expected.
The role also calls for a strong understanding of SEO, CRO, and customer acquisition, along with experience using CRM and lifecycle marketing platforms. Candidates should bring a commercial and analytical mindset, the ability to turn data into action, strong project management skills, and excellent stakeholder communication. Comfort working across multiple brands and priorities in a fast-moving environment is essential.
Success in the First 12 Months
Within the first year, the successful hire is expected to increase direct reservations and online orders, improve paid media return, grow customer databases, boost repeat visitation, strengthen website conversion and organic search performance, improve OpenTable and Uber Eats results, and build scalable digital systems that support future openings. The role should deliver measurable digital revenue growth while protecting each brand’s unique identity.
Why Join
This is a chance to help define the digital future of one of hospitality’s most ambitious and design-led companies. You will work across a diverse brand portfolio, partner with entrepreneurial leadership, and have the freedom to develop innovative digital strategies that create long-term business impact.
